This has been the summer of the wedding down here in Clonbullogue so imagine the fun we all had working on this site! Wedding one Sandra Hennessy wedding two Caitriona Montgomery (no name change there!) and now the new Pure Bliss website with its mind boggling range of bridal accessories. Spot on target because no matter the doom and gloom we still spend obscene amounts getting married in Ireland. Now though this stuff comes direct from the importer and is nicer and cheaper that the range in the bridal shops.
All that Hugh needs now is a link from Weddings Online and he will be flying. Yes ladies, a bloke with this business sorted and a brilliant graphic look and feel too. Its too much!
But behind every good man is a Powder Room Girl... OK we are sexist here we freely admit it! But not to the Excellence Through People Inspectors….

A couple of weeks back I looked for online escrow facilities for domain purchase and escrow.com was endorsed by a few people I trust so I proceeded. Alas the transaction failed because they would not accept a European credit card (after days of refaxing and jumping through hoops) or provide me with the IBANN number to make an electronic transfer. In the end the seller began to worry about getting his money back so we jumped ship.
So I checked ICANN and was recommended to Iron Mountain. After a phone call with the UK office I received a charming email from the USA end (while travelling in Asia!) inviting me to call her on her rented Korean mobile phone. Or offering to call me. Extraordinary that in this day and age a simple transaction like this should be stalled after two weeks.
On the bright side I got to know the vendor much better than expected! And I trust him more than any of the escrow companies I have come across. But my domain remains unpurchased. Any one out there have any ideas or recommendations??

Update! http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/fresh-take-on-browser.htmlThe launch of Google’s latest product has been very low key so far.Tomorrow they will launch the beta version of their browser. It’s called ‘chrome’. It will be interesting to see whether it willpersuade any IE users to switch.Personally , I love the latest firefox so i doubt i’ll be ditching that any time soonbut i shall remain open minded. update….Well I have downloaded and installed chrome
First Impressions?
I like it. I’ve already seen a couple of things on websites that dont work properly
but this is a beta version after all.
Overall i like the interface – its clean and simple (Its a google product after all).
I look forward to many updates/improvements over the coming months
